My Cute Camera

My Canon A70 digital camera gave up the ghost after a year a half. Luckily, the folks servicing my Staples extended warranty came through Toshiba pa3420u 1brs and cut me a check for the purchase price of the camera, after determining that the repair was too expensive to bother with.

This put me in the market for another camera. I wanted something with a longer zoom. I was always trying to shoot things with the Apple A1039 that were too small or too far away to frame properly with the 3x lens. In addition to the big zoom, it has several features that make it fun to shoot with:

  • Good Controls: Almost everything I do while shooting can be done in one or two button presses without taking my eye off the “action”. I almost never need to use a menu when setting up a shot.
  • Electronic Viewfinder: The badness of the Toshiba pa3107u 1brs viewfinder defies description. I never ever used it, no matter how much I had to squint to see the LCD screen in the sun. The viewfinder in the S1 IS is nice, I like it better than the LCD most of the time.
  • Focus Zoom: While adjusting the manual focus, a zoom view automatically pops up so you can see what you’re doing. This combined with the well designed controls make manual focus a worthwhile alternative when the auto focus on Apple A1189 has trouble (which it sometimes does in very flat scenes or in low light) with dell inspiron 1721 battery.
  • Sleep Mode: The camera optionally switches into a low power mode after a short period of inactivity, and it can wake up again in less than a second.

  • Image Stabilization: This feature is supposed to smooth out the natural movement of your hand, allowing you to shoot longer exposures than you would otherwise be able to without blurring the image by dell inspiron 1721 battery. I hate flashes, and the IS has allowed me to get halfway decent shots using available light in situations where I would otherwise end up with a blurry mess while Apple A1175. Whenever we compare phones we always talk about battery life and as we’ve all learned the numbers reported by the manufacturers have almost no correlation to reality. The problem is that the laptop battery life reported is from lab results and not real life use. Well the other day I was browsing around the web and sawCNet’s battery life comparison. They use real life results and in each case they set the backlight to 50%, backlight timeout to 10 seconds and volume at 50% and conduct a call to a landline playing recorded audio and they do repeated tests until they are within 5% of each other. Here’s a few of the popular phones side by side in order of rank:

Also, the real talk time on a Tilt is fairly miserable at 3.5 hours but it doubles compared to a Fuze…unless you’re using the Touch Pro on Sprint in which case you’re not as happy. I left the 8525 in there just to remind us what happens as they evolve our phones.  Personally I’ve been satisfied with the laptop battery life of the Fuze - what do you think?

All personnel handling RBRC collection boxes should follow these safety guidelines to ensure safe storage and shipping of used rechargeable batteries and cell phones. Call2Recycle mandates a ONE rechargeable BATCL50L battery, ONE bag rule. Utilize Call2Recycle-provided collection boxes and bags meeting U.S. DOT requirements to properly insulate individual batteries and cell phones for transport.

RBRC’s Call2Recycle program recycles Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion), Nickel Zinc (Ni-Zn), and Small Sealed Lead (Pb)* rechargeable Aspire One battery found in cellular and cordless phones, cordless power tools, laptop computers, PDAs, two-way radios, camcorders, remote control toys, and other cordless products.

* weighing less than 11 lbs/5 kg each.

Alkaline, lithium, or other non-rechargeable batteries are not accepted for laptop battery recycling.

Call2Recycle accepts all cell phone makes and models. Phones must be deactivated prior to depositing into the collection box. Do not accept bag or cordless phones.

Used rechargeable batteries may still contain a residual charge that can short-circuit if terminals come in contact with other battery terminals during storage and shipping.

To prevent short-circuits, RBRC mandates a ONE rechargeable Travelmate 290 battery, ONE bag rule. Each rechargeable battery, or cell phone with installed battery, must be placed into a separate plastic bag. If plastic bags are unavailable, cover battery terminals with tape (electrical, duct, or masking).

The shipment of rechargeable batteries that have not been properly packaged to prevent short-circuits is a violation of Federal law. Additionally, failure to comply with these Call2Recycle shipping guidelines may lead to a disruption of recycling services.

Place the rechargeable battery and cell phone collection box in a monitored location. The box should be within easy reach of properly trained personnel.

While rechargeable batteries are normally safe to handle, they contain materials that can vent during use. If a rechargeable battery appears to be dirty or to have a white powdery substance around the terminal, exercise caution when handling. Do not touch the dirty area. Wash your hands with soap and water. Put the battery in a plastic bag before placing it in the collection box BATCL50L, BATCL50L4 .

Do not attempt to discharge a rechargeable battery by short-circuiting the terminals.

Do not accept wet batteries. Batteries should be dry before being placed into the collection box.

Do not overfill the collection box. When a collection box is full, seal and ship using the prepaid shipping label Travelmate 290 battery . RBRC will automatically ship replacement boxes as needed. Allow up to 3 weeks for delivery.
